Project Overview
Led UX strategy for the mobile experience of JPM’s award-winning LLM-powered productivity platform (part of the LLM Suite). Worked closely with the LLM Team, Creative Technology Team and the Salt Design System Team to scale existing design patterns and components across 200,000+ employees, ensuring consistent, compliant and mobile-optimized AI experiences firmwide.
Challenge
Desktop-first LLM tools needed seamless mobile extension for on-the-go users (Managing Directors, traders, analysts).
Fragmented legacy components across teams created inconsistency and slow adoption. Required deep research into existing AI initiatives inside JPM and industry standards while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
My Approach & Cross-Team Collaboration
As the strategic UX lead I:
Partnered daily with the LLM Product Team (product vision and AI workflows)
Collaborated with the Creative Technology Team (rapid prototyping and custom tooling)
Worked hand-in-hand with the Salt Design System Team to extend and scale core components (Data Grids, Blotters, patterns) for mobile AI use cases
Facilitated cross-functional workshops with executives and global design teams
Process
Research & Discovery
Conducted comprehensive audit of current AI work at JPM + industry benchmarking (generative AI tools, mobile AI adoption in regulated sectors). Identified user needs for quick AI interactions on mobile while maintaining compliance and data security.
Cross-Team Alignment & Strategy
Ran workshops with LLM, Creative Technology and Salt teams to align on OKRs, roadmap and success metrics.
Scaling Salt Design System Extended Salt’s lightweight, token-driven components to support mobile AI workflows.
Created reusable patterns that other teams could adopt instantly.
Design & Prototyping
Designed mobile-optimized conversational AI interface integrated with scaled Salt components.
Validation & Iteration Usability testing + feedback loops with global users and stakeholders.
